Welcome to El Faro Home with a View - a bright, south-facing garden apartment on the Costa del Sol where outdoor living is not just possible, it is the whole point. Wake up to open sea views, have your morning coffee in the wrap-around garden, and end the day on the patio watching the sun set over the Mediterranean. Our corner position captures both sunrise and sunset - a small detail that our guests consistently mention as one of their favourite things about staying here.

The apartment sleeps up to five guests across two bedrooms: one double and one twin, with a single sofa bed in the lounge for a fifth guest. Every room has air conditioning and ceiling fans, and the fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine. The spacious lounge has a large screen TV with international channels, and fast WiFi throughout makes it easy to work remotely if needed.
El Faro is one of the most relaxed and well-connected locations on the Costa del Sol - quietly residential yet perfectly placed between Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas, both just seven minutes by car. The beach is a ten minute walk away, Málaga Airport is twenty minutes by car, and the whole of Andalucía is on your doorstep, Ronda, Granada, Seville, Gibraltar and Córdoba are all manageable day trips. Our neighbour Las Colinas restaurant is always busy for good reason, with live entertainment twice a week - booking ahead is strongly recommended.

🍽️ Restaurants and gastronomy
The Costa del Sol is known for excellent food — fresh seafood, Andalusian tapas, and a wide range of international cuisine. Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas both offer great restaurants at every price point. Our next-door neighbour Las Colinas is always popular, with live entertainment twice a week — we recommend booking ahead.
🏄 Sports and activities
Golf, hiking, cycling, water sports, tennis, padel, horse riding — the Costa del Sol offers something for everyone. The area has more golf courses per kilometre than almost anywhere else in Europe, and the warm Mediterranean waters make water sports enjoyable for most of the year.
🏛️ Culture and museums
Málaga, just twenty minutes away, is one of Spain's most underrated cultural cities. The Picasso Museum, Centre Pompidou, Carmen Thyssen Museum, the Alcazaba fortress and Gibralfaro Castle are all well worth a visit. More museums than most people expect from a city famous for its sunshine.
🐾 Beaches — for everyone
The Costa del Sol's beaches consistently earn their Blue Flag certification. For guests travelling with dogs, there are dedicated dog-friendly beaches near Castillo Sohail in Fuengirola and at Playa El Pinillo near Marbella.
🗺️ Day trips
El Faro is an ideal base for exploring Andalucía. Ronda, Granada, Seville, Córdoba, Gibraltar and Tarifa are all reachable in a day. Each one is worth the journey.
